Website Developer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated website developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee The Manor’s website, ensuring it is engaging, user-friendly, and aligned with our business objectives.

This role includes managing e-commerce operations, implementing SEO strategies, and maintaining optimal website performance. You will collaborate with our creative and marketing teams to bring The Manor’s digital vision to life.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

•  Lead full website design and development, ensuring seamless user interface (UI) and user experience (UX).
• Optimize responsive design for compatibility across all devices and browsers.
• Integrate e-commerce capabilities, including payment gateways and product management.
• Implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies and a content plan to increase online visibility.
• Regularly update and maintain the website to ensure peak performance and security.
• Conduct performance optimization, including speed testing and load time improvements.
• Set up backup and recovery services, including regular data backups and recovery planning.
• Monitor website analytics, track performance, and deliver monthly reports with actionable insights.
• Collaborate with the creative team to ensure cohesive branding and storytelling online.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: 

• Proficiency in web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). 
• Experience with WordPress and Elementor for content management and page building.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce or Shopify).
• Knowledge of SEO tools and strategies (Google Analytics, SEM rush, or similar platforms).
• Understanding of website hosting, domain management, and SSL certificate integration.
• Basic graphic design or video editing skills are a bonus.
• Familiarity with web security best practices and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Recent graduate in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating past website development projects. 
• Analytical thinking with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Passion for African art, design, and storytelling is an advantage.
