RESPONSIBILITIES, include but are not limited to:
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
- Manage online and phone reservations.
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data.
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay). • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms.
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities.
- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs.
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees.
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate.
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.
- Manage social media platforms with regard to checking for messages and responding in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Manage social media content, ensuring that the various platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Google Search are up to date in terms of pictures, specials, rates and events (when applicable).
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience.
- Experience with hotel reservations software, like Cloudbeds, eZee, Operto, Little Hotelier, or the like.
- Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking.com and TripAdvisor.
- Understanding of how social media marketing works.
- Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, time management, multi-tasking ability, social skills, technical skills, problem solving skills, resistance to stress, empathy and reliability.
- Degree or certificate in hotel management is a plus.
- Degree or certificate in marketing is a plus
