Role Summary:
We are looking for someone who is a multi-skilled individual to join our close-knit team and become a part of delivering quality campaigns to be proud of. We are looking for a passionate Creative Director with strong retail fashion experience. Someone with the skill set to capture promotional excitement and breakthrough concepts for multiple media platforms such as television, radio, website, newsletters, social media, and paid media elements.
The successful applicant will be tasked to lead visual and conceptual skills from initial brief to final artwork and must be able to assist with conceptualising digital campaigns and creatively solve problems effectively. An eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure, as well as being up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, techniques, and technologies are essential requirements. Minimum relevant experience and skills/attributes required:
Relevant tertiary qualification
- At least 8+ years’ experience in a large/integrated Advertising Agency
- At least 8+ years’ previous experience in a high-volume environment
- A powerful creative portfolio that demonstrates originality, innovation and problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilize resources, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within scope.
- Strong interpersonal skills; a team player, persuasive negotiator, positive and innovative thinker
- Maintain high standards for execution and attention to detail
- Highly motivated and a high level of initiative; ability to work independently, in support of the agency’s creative goals and the client’s business objectives
- Must be very strategic in approach to work putting business success equal to creative output
- Must be able to create and foster a harmonious relationship with all departments
- Must be able to present work well and foster proper, respectful relationships with clients, employees and senior management
- Must have television and video production experience.
- A couple of awards would be great but not essential.
- Liaising with Production and Traffic Departments to ensure expediency and efficiencies with regards to timing, quality of output, and minimization of pressure.
- Attendance and input into internal (briefings, reviews, status, etc.) and external (briefings, presentations, status, etc.) meetings, at all times assuming a leadership position within each forum, driving the dialogue to ensure the best possible outcomes
- Handle all periodic recons of hours and presentations of the recons to the Client. Handle all resource allocation vs retainer, negotiate freelancer fees with the Client should more resources be required, and move projects around to ensure smooth delivery of work to client, but minimize the pressure on Agency resources, so that high-quality work is delivered to client.
- Managing and creating retainer proposals for approval by Exco and presentation and negotiation with clients.
- Strategic input on all campaign and day-to-day work, driving internal planning as well as external client/stakeholder strategic brand direction via demonstration of clear understanding of client’s strategic requirements, and effective communication thereof to all agency team members
- Actively strengthening and managing client relationships through efficient and effective campaign management
- Actively seeking new opportunities for client business growth and delivering business solutions to the client
- Project management and leadership of key strategic campaign development
- Active leadership by example; stepping in where necessary in order to ensure delivery by doing. whatever is required at the time; delivering high standards of client satisfaction through monitoring feedback, surveys, campaign evaluations and continuously adopting and adjusting approaches to ensure improvement
- Understanding and actively engaging with both agency and client on industry trends, competitor analysis, global developments, in order to ensure both agency and clients are appraised of current issues and opportunities, and ensuring these are communicated clearly and effectively to all agency team members
