Job Overview:
Newlyn® Asset Management is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and passionate Intern Graphic Designer to join our dynamic creative team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on a variety of real-world design projects that reflect our core values and services, particularly in asset management, student accommodation, minerals & mining and corporate branding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of marketing materials such as brochures, social media graphics, presentations, and billboards.
- Work on branding projects by contributing ideas and design solutions for various clients within our portfolio.
- Help maintain brand consistency across all visual assets while working within established brand guidelines.
- Assist in mockup creation for print and digital designs, ensuring all work is optimized for various formats and platforms.
- Take part in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance the overall quality of our design projects.
- Support the preparation of final artwork for both print and digital production.
- Stay updated on current design trends and best practices to bring fresh and innovative approaches to design challenges.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to take constructive feedback.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality work.
- Experience with mockups and working in both print and digital media formats is a plus.
- A portfolio of work showcasing design projects (can include schoolwork, personal projects, or freelance work).

Education & Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related creative field.
- No prior professional experience required, though personal projects, freelance work, or internships are a plus.
- A portfolio of work (school projects, personal designs, or freelance work) demonstrating creativity and design capabilities.
- Technical Skills Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign are essential).
- Basic understanding of layout design, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Familiarity with mockup creation and preparing designs for print and digital formats. Knowledge of file types for print (CMYK, PDF) and web (RGB, PNG, JPEG, etc.).
Bonus:
- Familiarity with web design principles (HTML/CSS) and experience in motion graphics or video editing (not mandatory).
