We’re Not Just Hiring a Videographer... We’re Looking for Our YouTube Ride-or-Die

Coach Parry is on the hunt for a YouTube-first creative powerhouse — someone who knows the difference between a clickbait title and a curiosity gap, who dreams in thumbnails, and who gets fired up by analytics and aesthetics.

This is a freelance-to-full-time opportunity with a fast track. We're calling it a creative dating phase. If we vibe and the work is 🔥, we’ll go all-in — including shared upside in the growth of our YouTube channel.

We’re building something real, and we want you in the trenches with us. 

 What You’ll Do

• Be the driving force behind our YouTube content — from idea to final upload
• Pitch and develop video concepts that make our audience stop scrolling and start watching
• Film and edit YouTube videos, short-form social content, and behind-the-scenes gold
• Stay ahead of trends, algorithm updates, and what’s working right now
• Collaborate with our team to align content with our brand, goals, and community vibe 

 You Might Be the One If You

• Have your own YouTube channel (or seriously considered starting one yesterday)
• Think storytelling and pacing are everything 
• Know how to shoot with intention — good lighting, clean audio, and tasty b-roll are second nature
• Can edit like a beast (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or whatever gets the job done)
• Are endlessly curious about what makes people click, watch, and share
• Don’t just want a gig — you want to build something with people who care 

Bonus Points If You...

• Have experience with motion graphics or sound design
• Geek out over creators like Ed Lawrence, Paddy Galloway, Colin & Samir & Ali Abdaal
• Are into running, fitness, or optimizing performance (or open to it!)
• Have an opinion on the ideal title/thumbnail formula (and aren’t afraid to test it)
• Location Based in Joburg/Pretoria — most of the filming happens here, so being local is a big plus. 

What We’re Offering

• Freelance to start, with plans to grow into a full-time position within 3–6 months (preferably sooner if you're THE ONE)

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in video production and editing (showreel or portfolio required)
• Strong understanding of YouTube content strategy, trends, and audience engagement
• Proficient with professional camera, lighting, and audio gear
• Skilled in editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
• Ability to plan, shoot, and edit videos independently Strong storytelling instincts, pacing, and audience retention tactics
• Excellent sense of visual design, thumbnail composition, and titles
• Collaborative mindset with the confidence to pitch and develop video ideas 

Bonus Points

• Has their own active YouTube channel
• Experience with motion graphics or sound design Interest in or connection to running, fitness, or performance 
• Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., YouTube Studio, TubeBuddy, vidIQ)
• Familiarity with content styles from creators like Paddy Galloway, Ed Lawrence, Colin & Samir and Ali Abdaal
