The main purpose of this introductory course is to understand and apply the basic skills to writing and conceptualising copy for brands. Through the application of innovative thinking, development and implementation, the student will learn how to communicate more effectively through writing. These foundation skills are core to the development of a budding copywriter.
The learning in this course happens primarily through practical projects, by implementing and developing conceptual skills and honing crafting ability. In Introduction to Copywriting for Brands, the student will unpack briefs, find a clear and relevant brand promise, generate focused ideas, produce multiple concepts that communicate in an interesting way, and craft final executions. This is an integrated, interactive programme, where the focus is on sound conceptual skills and the ability to apply these skills in communicating brands more effectively.
