Vega Photography Courses: School of Photography
The National College of Photography was founded in 1994 and set out with a goal of providing the highest level of photographic instruction in South Africa, setting the standard for other photography courses and schools in the country.
Located in Pretoria, the College went from strength to strength, evolving alongside the photography industry, and in 1997 they offered their first full-time, career based photographic course.
By the turn of the century, the National College of Photography had established itself as the premier, specialised photographic training institution in the country. Many students from all over the world travel to South Africa for an opportunity to study at the prestigious college.
In 2005 the College expanded to Johannesburg delivering both part time and full time digital photography courses. In 2008 the College was acquired by ADvTECH (Pty) Ltd, a listed company on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
